"We believe that together we are much stronger and work in close partnership to create a vision for education that is outward-facing, spiritually uplifting and enriching for all."

Plymouth CAST is one of the largest Catholic multi academy trusts in the UK with a strong focus on school improvement and an ambitious vision of excellence for all of the young people in our care.

We value the professional development of our staff and are dedicated to providing high quality Continuing Professional Development across all areas of school life, coupled with a collaborative and supportive framework for effective teamwork. We believe that together we are much stronger and work in close partnership to create a vision for education that is outward-facing, spiritually uplifting and enriching for all.

We are always looking for exceptional colleagues who are passionate about education and who can help drive our mission to be a community of outstanding schools in which our pupils flourish in safe, happy and stimulating environments, leaving with the knowledge, skills, personal qualities and aspirations to make the world a better place.

We are committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of our students and all posts are subject to an enchanced DBS check.

Why work with Plymouth CAST?

Over the past two years, Plymouth CAST has seen rapid improvement in school standards and systems. We are committed to developing the skills and leadership potential of all staff. We deliver CPD training in partnership with training providers such as the Church of England, LMP Group, Best Practice Network and City Skills, so teachers are able to access exceptional middle and senior leadership training opportunities and we also offer a range of apprenticeships to staff across the Trust.

We are continually building and developing our CPD offer to ensure that our staff have access to high-quality training to support them in their career and professional aspirations.

Working in schools can be challenging at times, which is why well-being and maintaining a healthy work-life balance is so important.

The South West needs little introduction with it being recently listed as having the best quality of life of anywhere in England and Wales (The Guardian, 2019). Our region offers an unrivalled lifestyle choice for those who wish to combine a career with the opportunity to enjoy a superb work-life balance. Many of our staff have moved to Devon, Cornwall and Dorset to access these outstanding areas of natural beauty, exploring the stunning coastlines, rolling hills and woodland walks, or the dramatic vistas of Dartmoor and Exmoor.
